Referral Information

Patients are accepted by appointment only, however emergency appointments will be accommodated as needed. A veterinarian can refer a pet to our hospital online at www.svsvets.com or by phone at 504-219-0444. After a veterinarian has notified our staff of the referral, the client may call to set up an appointment at their convenience. It is always helpful if a veterinarian can fill out a referral form with the history of his/her findings and treatments. A copy of our referral form can be downloaded in .pdf format from our website or filled out online (Referral Form). Copies of any pertinent laboratory results and radiographs should be brought to the appointment.

If the pet's condition is an emergency, the referring veterinarian should contact our office to arrange an immediate referral. Our specialists are available on an as needed basis after hours and on the weekends by calling 504-219-0444.
